FAQ

Cold email checker: frequently asked questions

Anything else? Use the contact form.

Is the checker free?

Yes. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on normal use.

Do you store the emails I check?

No. The subject and body are sent to our server only to calculate the score or build the PDF report, and are discarded afterwards. They are not saved or used for anything else.

How is the score calculated?

The score is out of 100, made of five sections worth 20 points each: subject line, opener, value proposition, call to action, and industry and email type flags. Each issue found takes points off its section, and each section stays between 0 and 20.

What do the context, industry and email type options change?

Context sets the ground rules: cold emails get the strictest checks and a 200-word guide, follow-ups a shorter 80-word guide, and newsletters relaxed opener and call to action rules. Industry and email type add their own lists of phrases to avoid.

Which email type should I choose for an affiliate or sponsorship pitch?

Choose Affiliate / Partnership for affiliate programs, brand partnerships, advertising or sponsored placement requests. Link building / Outreach is for guest posts and link placement pitches.

Why did a genuine email get a low score?

The rules look for patterns that are common in spam, and a genuine email can share some of them, for example a long body or no clear question at the end. Read each suggestion and decide whether it applies to your situation.

Can a high score guarantee replies or inbox placement?

No. The checker cannot see your recipient or your sending setup. A high score means the email avoids common problems, not that it will be answered or delivered.

Does it work in other languages?

Not yet. The rules are written for English emails only.
